A Mini Post: Day and Night Skincare

Skincare: Day and Night...“the lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night”

Hey Young Loves, as I mentioned in my 2017 life update video I am trying new skin care.  Just wanted to share two items that I recently began using.  So, far so good.  Even though my skin is oily, in the winter it does get dry patches (I’ve mentioned this in my winter essentials video).

How to Make a Vision Board

How to Make a Vision Board AKA Getting My Life together

Hey Young Loves, how’s is it going?  January is almost over.  I sometimes think it's going quickly but then it’s not going quickly.  I have always heard of the idea of a vision board for years and I guess I low key thought it wasn’t a real thing.  However, this year I’m really trying to not do the same things I’ve always been doing.

A good friend of mine reminded me about the idea.  I decided to create one and since blogging/YouTube is a part of my 2017 goals and I said I might as well incorporate it as well.  I went about recording it and it took me about ½ hours to complete.  Overall my categories included the same categories I mentioned in my 2017 life update video.

Please check out the video below and subscribe to my channel while you’re at it.

A Bronx Tale the Musical

A Bronx Girl A Bronx Tale

Hey Young Loves, so this past week I went to see the play “A Bronx Tale” in my NYC.

A couple weeks ago, my friend hit me up and asked me if I wanted to see it.  We attempted to go during the holiday season and that was an epic fail.  Major tip for enjoying NYC, DO NOT attempt to go anywhere during the holiday season.  NYC is always full of tourists, but during December they take it over!

So anyway, I got in the train and trucked on downtown at 8:30 am to stand online to get Rush tickets.  It was basically me and “Random Rob” for about an hour and then a huge line formed around 9:30am.  The box office opened at 10 am.

What are Rush tickets you ask?  Rush tickets are sold the day of the show for an extremely discounted price.  They usually aren’t the best seats.  However, I got second row orchestra seats for us, so I will not be out here complaining.  Broadway week and Rush tickets are two very frugal ways to enjoy an awesome show in the city for the low low.  We also had a delectable three course meal at McDonalds prior.

Overall the show was very good.  It was quoted as “Jersey Boys meets a West Side Story.”  Granted I have not seen either of those shows, but I am sure they were great as well.

Have you guys enjoyed any shows lately?  Is there any play or musical that you want or plan to go see?  Please share in the comment section.

As always thank you for reading.

How to Heal Your Heart

Hey Young Loves, so I know we all really want to declare 2017 as a year of growth and healing.  I even posted this quote on Instagram so you know it makes it official.

Not going into detail but I can agree with most 2016 was rough.  Don’t get me wrong there was some good aspects, but overall I got in my own way and some things didn’t pan out well.  (Note to self…DO NOT GET IN YOUR OWN WAY.)

Ok so really think about this.

A baseball player breaks his arm.  He seeks help from a doctor.  Maybe he gets casted or splinted for about 6 weeks.  He may get rehab for another month to regain his skills and get stronger.  After that he's ready to get back in the game.  Sounds about right huh?

So why is it that when our hearts are broken we want to rush or completely skip over the healing process?

It's called a process for a reason.  Healing takes time.  And as much as it sounds cliché, time can heal all wounds.  Consider your broken heart as you would another body part.  Get help from a professional if needed.  Or seek comfort from a friend or family member.  Rest and give your heart time to heal.  Take about a month or two to get yourself stronger.  Then when you’re ready you can get back in the (dating) game.

New Year 17'

Happy New Year Young Loves, can you believe is 2017?

It been a hell of a year.  My blog turns 4 in April I can’t believe that either.  With that being said, I’m very disappointed in my consistency.  However, I know resolutions are cliché but I would love to get back active for this year and so on.  I also need to work on new formatting, displays etc. to make it move faster because it’s a super pain.

I’ve deiced I would like my blog and YouTube channel to continue to focus on beauty and lifestyle.  I will also keep the relationship/Dating Dionne segments of course.  I mean maybe my relationship status may even change this year.  Also, the past year I’ve been very inspired by bloggers such as Cynthia Branch and HeyFranHey for example.  Therefore, I would love to add an element of mental health and wellness as well.

Last but certainly not least, here is A MAJOR LIFE update----à I AM OFICALLY FINISHED WITH GRADUATE SCHOOL.  I mean done done done done.  I’ll go more into details soon, right now I’m getting over the flu and I’m ready to go back to bed.  For now I didn’t want to wait wish every a happy and prosperous new year.
